Get your LinkedIn export
Download the Basic archive that contains
Connections.csv. Keep the archive on your computer until you open Hermes in the next step. How to get the LinkedIn export
In LinkedIn, open Me → Settings & Privacy → Data Privacy → Get a copy of your data. Request the Basic archive that includes Connections. LinkedIn emails the download when it is ready.
Why this matters: the export supplies names, roles, companies, connection dates, and profile links for the base map.

Build the base map
Send the export to your agent
Open your agent in Hermes, attach the LinkedIn Basic archive or its
Connections.csvfile, and send this prompt:Build my Network Observatory from this LinkedIn Connections.csv. Stop and ask me about any uncertain identity matches.
Why this matters: your agent turns a static export into people and company records you can search.
-
Keep identities accurate
Review the matches
Your agent links rows that belong to the same person and flags uncertain matches. Answer those questions in Hermes before relying on relationship history.
Why this matters: clean identities keep one person from splitting into duplicates or being merged with someone else.

Use your Observatory
Search for people, filter by company or role, and mark people you want to reconnect with. If you add email timing later, warmth clearly separates measured contacts from people with no email data.
Why this matters: this turns a static export into a working view for planning follow-ups without making Gmail a prerequisite.

Optional: add email timing
Gmail metadata lets your agent answer who exchanged email with you and when. It cannot read subjects, message text, snippets, or attachments.
Connecting Gmail does not automatically add or sweep email into this map. You decide when to ask the agent to use it.
