Follow the guide and paste the install prompt into your agent.
Open your dashboard in your browser.

Install the download

Download the ZIP and unzip it into a new folder on the machine where your Hermes agent runs.
Give your agent the install prompt below. Review the installation plan before it changes anything.
Use the setup page to add your bot, choose a private home, and test a message and reply.

Prompt for your agent

Read README.md and skills/discord-connect/SKILL.md in my extracted AgentMarkit Discord plugin folder. Inspect the installer and check this machine's requirements, including Python 3.11 or later. Run python3 discord.py install --dry-run with a compatible Python interpreter and show me the plan before installing. Preserve my existing Hermes configuration. After installation, run doctor and start the local setup page. For a VM, help me use an SSH tunnel to reach that page privately. Guide me through a Discord message-and-reply test. Keep bot tokens out of our chat; I'll enter mine in the private setup form.

Installation commands

Use Python 3.11 or later. If python3 is older, replace it with your compatible Python command. From the extracted folder, review the dry run first:

python3 discord.py install --dry-run

After reviewing the plan:

python3 discord.py install
python3 ~/.local/share/agentmarkit-discord/discord.py doctor
python3 ~/.local/share/agentmarkit-discord/discord.py start

Open http://127.0.0.1:8791 on the same computer. For a VM, open an SSH tunnel from your computer, replacing user@vm with your VM login:

ssh -L 8791:127.0.0.1:8791 user@vm
